On 30th of January 2015, our learners and other members of Pakruojis district community were invited to discuss healthy food and different diets. A lecturer - doctor Aiva Vaivariene from Natūralus gydymo centras emphasized that we should  „colour“ our day by using  vegetables and avoid  „white“ foods.  She mentioned that we should not forget  fermentation and drying as they are very useful techniques for preserving vegetables or fruit.  According to the lecturer, wild plants are useful also. She recommended  collecting stinging nettle or dandelion leaves because they are tasty and high in nutrients. The young, raw leaves are edible, and the dried leaves may be used to make a tea. The participants were given examples of how our diet is closely related to our health and performance.
